Dad Witnesses 10 Year-Old Son’s Vision Healed During Worship

Read this powerful testimony from a father who experienced his son’s vision healed during worship at Bethel Church:

I have been watching Bethel TV for some time now and had the opportunity to come down from Oregon with my parents a couple of weeks ago to visit Bethel Church. This time I brought my wife and two boys, ages 10 and 7, and my nephews also came with my parents. During our time at Bethel, we had many random God encounters with words of knowledge given to us—enough that I could do a write-up just of that.

But the real testimony is what happened Sunday night during worship. Both of my sons had brought along their tablets to help keep them occupied during the service. During worship, about half way through I think, my 10 year-old son, who has to wear glasses, was sitting on the floor by my feet and tugged on my leg to get permission to download a Bible app for his tablet. I whispered, “Of course” and went back to worshiping. Maybe no more than five minutes later, he tugs on my pant leg again and tells me, “Dad, I think I can see with out my glasses.” I was like, “What?” and he told me, as best as I can remember, that while he was sitting on the floor, God led him to look up a verse in Ephesians 3.

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. -Eph. 3:14-19

And he prayed and asked God to heal his eyes. He said he then felt a little pain in his eyes, and his glasses went kind of blurry. He stood up next to me and started reading the words projected on the screen next to the stage, the small words on the bottom corner that identifies the song, who wrote it, etc. He could not have normally have done that without his glasses and even then might not have totally seen it.

Needless to say, my son’s vision was restored during worship while simply sitting on the floor asking God to help his eyes: a simple example of having the faith of a child. God is great, and I do think this miracle wasn’t simply for him but taught us all something.

We look forward to seeing what God has laid out for us and hopefully coming back to visit again as soon as we get the chance.
