Joel Barber is a worship leader and songwriter with Bethel Music based in Leicester, UK, with a lifelong devotion to the presence of God and the local church. Raised in a church-planting family in Southend, Essex, Joel began leading worship at a young age and now serves as Worship Pastor and a senior leader at Chroma Church. His approach to worship is marked by both joyful praise and deep intimacy, with a passion to write and lead songs that move the heart of the Holy Spirit. With a conviction to raise up a generation of worshippers rooted in the secret place, his life and ministry are centered on friendship with the Holy Spirit. After first leading at Bethel Church in 2025, he joined the Bethel Music collective in 2026 and continues to lead, write, and invest in his community in Leicester.
