About The Album

This album focuses on the simplicity of intimate worship with God.

We want to give the Lord our most honest, vulnerable selves and this album guides us into that desired heart posture before the Lord.

As a movement, Bethel Music has been brought back to this word “Simple” time and time again over the last couple of years. This project, from the lyrics and melodies to the visual landscape, has the concept of “simple” woven through it. There is something so special about simplifying our worship and focusing on our song to Him, and that is exactly what this album does.

Produced by long-time Bethel Music family member Dan MacKenzie, this project was recorded and filmed in our brand new studio located in Redding, CA. Everything you see and hear was captured in real time with no overdubs or augmentation. Our heart was to bring as real and genuine an offering as possible, and we feel confident that we have managed to accomplish just that. The intentionality of every note, lyric placement, and chord progression translates through each song, as does the tender heart of each person involved. Our prayer is that you are able to pull up a chair and soak in the beauty and authenticity of this project the way we have.

Everything changed, it’s getting harder to recognize

The person I was before I encountered Christ

I don’t walk like I used to

I don’t talk like I used to

I’ve been washed from the inside

I’ve been washed from the inside out

Hallelujah, hallelujah

I know it was the blood

Could have only been the blood

Hallelujah, hallelujah

I know it was the blood

Could have only been the blood

Hey

I cannot explain but nothing’s more real than this

In the presence of God, oh what my heart experienced

When my shame hit the wayside

And my sin met the Most High

I was washed from the inside

I was washed from the inside out

Hallelujah, hallelujah

I know it was the blood

Could have only been the blood

Hallelujah, hallelujah

I know it was the blood

Could have only been the blood

Could have only been Your blood

Oh so let it wash over

Let it wash over me, yeah, yeah (Hey, ooh-ooh-ooh)

It’s never been about performance, perfection

Or striving for acceptance

Let me tell you, it’s only by the blood

It’s never been about deserving or earning

It’s a gift that’s freely given

Let me tell you, it’s only by the blood

Does anybody want to be holy, righteous

Purified and spotless

Let me tell you, it’s only by the blood

Does anybody want to be worthy, forgiven

Justified, really living

Let me tell you, it’s only by the blood

Hallelujah, hallelujah

I know it was the blood

Could have only been the blood

Hallelujah, hallelujah

I know it was the blood

Could have only been the blood

Hey-yeah-yeah

Only been

What can I say, thank You is not enough

Jesus Your grace, Your mercy poured out for us

I will love You forever, here on earth into heaven

I’ve been washed from the inside

I’ve been washed from the inside out

Hmm (Ooh)

I’ve been washed from the inside out

Mmm

How precious, how generous

Your blood poured out for us

How precious, how generous

We remember, mmm

You paid it in full

You paid it in blood

You paid it for us, Jesus

In the landscape of my life

You don’t rush through any season

You always take Your time

A careful hand, a gentle guide

You take what’s dead away

And You prune what’s running wild

So be the gardener of my heart

Tend the soil of my soul

Break up the fallow ground

Cut back the overgrown

And I won’t shy away

I will let the branches fall

So what You want can stay

And what You love can grow

Through winter, I’m still alive

What You’ve planted in the dirt

Is ever reaching to the light

You prepare me for darkened times

You’ll sustain what You have started

And You’ll teach me to abide

Be the gardener of my heart

Tend the soil of my soul

Break up the fallow ground

Cut back the overgrown

And I won’t shy away

I will let the branches fall

So what You want can stay

And what You love can grow, grow

Have Your way in me

Have Your way in me

Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow

I’ll remain in You

You’ll remain in me

And I will trust Your timing

I’ll remain in You

You’ll remain in me

From the start until the ending

‘Cause You know better

So be the gardener of my heart

Tend the soil of my soul

Break up the fallow ground

Cut back the overgrown

And I won’t shy away

I will let the branches fall

So what You want can stay

And what You love can grow

This moment is holy and I hear You calling

I turn my face towards You and my heart is open

You’re always pursuing and my life’s surrendered

You have my affection

So let my life be worship

And let my heart stay true

May my love never grow cold

May it burn forevermore

May my life be worship to You

Oh-oh-oh

Hey

In blessing, in sorrow, in the ordinary

Whatever the cost is, You’re always worthy

My heart’s cry and my whole life is for Your glory

You have my attention

So let my life be worship

Let my heart stay true

May my love never grow cold

May it burn forevermore

Let my life be worship to You

Oh-oh

Ooh-ooh-ooh

So let it be, let it be worship

You’re the only One, only One worth it

Nothing is like You, there’s no one beside You

Only You’re worthy, You’re worthy

So let it be, let it be worship

You’re the only One, only One worth it

Nothing is like You, there is no one beside You

Only You’re worthy, You’re worthy (hey-ey-ey)

So let it be, let it be worship (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)

You’re the only One, only One worth it

Nothing is like You, there’s no one beside You

Only You’re worthy, You’re worthy

So let my life be worship

Let my heart stay true, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

So let my life be worship

Let my heart stay true

May my love never grow cold

May it burn forevermore

Let my life be worship to You

In everything, in everything

In everything (The little things)

Dishes piled high in the kitchen sink

Let it be worship (Hey-ey-ey)

Oh You meet me in the ordinary

When I’m feeling weak

When I’m feeling tired

You find me and it’s worship (Hey, let it be, let it be, let it)

You’re the only One worthy of all my moments

All my time, all my affection, all my life (Hey-ey-ey)

Oh-oh

‘Cause You are so worthy, worthy, worthy

Worthy, worthy, worthy (Hey-ey-ey)

Worthy, worthy, worthy (Ooh)

Of all the little moments

You’re worthy, worthy, worthy

You are worthy, worthy, worthy (Oh)

You are worthy, worthy, worthy of everything (Oh)

Of everything, of everything (Hey)

Worthy, worthy, worthy

Worthy, worthy, worthy of everything (Hey, hey-ey)

Of all of me, oh (Oh)

You are worthy, worthy, worthy

Worthy, worthy, worthy, worthy

Let my life be like a love song

Let my life be like a love song

All my life worship

All of my life worship

The Son of God

The heart of heaven

Given to us

Oh hallelujah

And oh, how gracious is the God who came to us

How wonderful and righteous is His love

Our Jesus

And oh, through the suffering and the hatred of the cross

He gathered every hope we thought was lost

Our Jesus

We are in awe

Of what love has done

You delivered us

Oh hallelujah

Oh hallelujah

And oh, how gracious is the God who came to us

How wonderful and righteous is His love

Our Jesus

And oh, through the suffering and the hatred of the cross

He gathered every hope we thought was lost

Our Jesus

Our Jesus

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Ooh-oh-oh

Ooh-oh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Oh-ah-oh-oh, hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah

Oh, how gracious is the God who came to us

How wonderful and righteous is His love

Our Jesus

And oh, through the suffering and the hatred of the cross

He gathered every hope we thought was lost

Our Jesus

Our Jesus

I remember when I met You

The first time that I felt You

When it all was just so simple

I’d just stand in awe of You

I don’t wanna grow familiar

Let my heart stay soft and tender

When You walk into the room

My response is to stand in awe of You

Oh I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You (Hey)

Just to adore You is our purpose

To make Your name higher is our focus

Where we’ve made it complicated

Realign us to stand in awe of You

Oh I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You (Hey)

Oh I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Hey (Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Oh I stand in awe (Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Oh all blessing and honor (Ooh-oh, hey-ey-ooh)

All glory and power be unto Your name Jesus (Oh, hey)

Forever and ever

Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory

Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory

Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory Lord

Oh forever and ever and ever and ever

Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory

Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory

Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory

Oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

I stand in awe of You

I choose to sing when I can hardly breathe out a breath

I choose to stand when all I wanna do is give up

I choose to trust when my whole world is falling apart

I choose You, Jesus

‘Cause I still believe through it all

I still believe You are wonderful

You’ve never given up on me

You’ve never given up on me

I choose to love when everything around me screams hate

I choose to heal when I have walked through sorrow and pain

I choose Your name, the only name that’s worthy of praise

I choose You, Jesus

‘Cause I still believe through it all

I still believe You are wonderful

You’ve never given up on me

‘Cause I still believe You are powerful

I still believe You do miracles

You’ve never given up on me

You’ve never given up on me

Yeah

Never given up on me

The world may say where is Your God

We will say He’s right here with us

The world may say where is Your God

We will say He’s right here with us

The world may say where is Your God

Oh we will say He’s right here with us

The world may say where is Your God

Oh we will say He’s right here with us

His name is Jesus, oh Jesus

His name is Jesus, Jesus

‘Cause I still believe through it all

I still believe You are wonderful

You’ve never given up on me

‘Cause I still believe You are powerful

I still believe You do miracles

You’ve never given up on me

You’ve never given up on me

You’ve never given up on me

Son of God

Carried the cross of redemption

Crown of thorns

Placed on the head of perfection

Jesus, gloria

Jesus my King

Nail-pierced hands

Scars that remind me of mercy

Arms out wide

Welcoming all who are guilty

Into the light of Your glory

Jesus, gloria

Jesus my King

Oh You are Jesus, gloria

Jesus my King

And how great the heart of the Father

How great the mercy of God

How great the price that He paid for love

How great the heart of the Father

How great the mercy of God

How great the price that He paid for love

Oh the price that He paid for love

Jesus, gloria

Jesus my King

We lay our lives down here at Your feet

To the One who’s worthy, we give everything

Oh how You love us, how can it be

No greater mercy, You gave everything

To You be all the glory, to You be all the honor

Forever be praised, forever be praised

For You alone are worthy and You alone are holy

Forever be praised, forever be praised

We bow in reverence before our King

The only sovereign, oh what majesty

We sing Your praises, how could we not

We’re filled with wonder, Lord we stand in awe

To You be all the glory, to You be all the honor

Forever be praised, forever be praised

For You alone are worthy and You alone are holy

Forever be praised, forever be praised

Be magnified, be glorified

Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb

As one we cry, be lifted high

Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb

Be magnified, be glorified

Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb

As one we cry, be lifted high

Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb

To You be all the glory, to You be all the honor

Forever be praised, forever be praised

For You alone are worthy and You alone are holy

Forever be praised, forever be praised

We lay our lives down here at Your feet

To the One who’s worthy, You gave everything

You don’t ask for perfection

So I won’t even bother pretending

I’ve been known from the start

Holding secrets is heavy

So I’ll tell You them all, Lord I’m ready

Here’s my heart, opened up

Honesty, You want honesty

Not just part of me, You want everything

So all of me, I’ll bring You all of me

No more hide and seek, Jesus I’m coming clean

You’re the One I won’t question

When my mind runs a million directions

You’re the friend I can trust

Here I am Lord, surrendered

With my hands lifted high, I’ll remember

That I’m safe with You, God

And there’s no fear in Your love

Honesty, You want honesty

Not just part of me, You want everything

So all of me, I’ll bring You all of me

No more hide and seek, Jesus I’m coming clean

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

There is nothing in between

You and me, holy are You

Purify and make me clean

Until all of me is holy like You

There is nothing in between

You and me, holy are You

Purify and make me clean

Until all of me is holy like You, Lord

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Honesty, You want honesty

Not just part of me, You want everything

So all of me, I’ll bring You all of me

I’ve tried my best to sustain what You started

But my back couldn’t carry the weight

So I’m tracing my steps to the moment I lost my way

I’m replacing control for surrender

In Your kindness there’s joy to repent

So I turn my eyes up to the heavens where my song began

Through every season You’ve been my strength

And with all my heart I’ll trust You, Lord

You have been faithful and You’ve been my song

With all my heart I’ll praise You, Lord

I’ve got scars on my feet from the miles

I’ve seen trouble but I’ve seen revival

I’ve seen peace overcoming the chaos with just one word

And I have walked through the valley of shadows

And sang my way through the darkest of nights

I’ve held onto Your every word and I will survive

Oh and through every season You’ve been my strength

And with all my heart I’ll trust You, Lord

‘Cause You have been faithful, You’ve been my song

And with all my heart I’ll praise You, Lord

With all my heart I’ll praise You, Lord

Hey

All You want is the simple

All You want is an honest song of praise

All You want is communion

So I’m done overcomplicating things

All You want is the simple

All You want is an honest song of praise

All You want is communion

So I’m done overcomplicating things

Through every season You’ve been my strength

And with all my heart I’ll trust You, Lord

You have been faithful and You’ve been my song

With all my heart I’ll praise You, Lord

Oh through every season You’ve been my strength

With all my heart I’ll trust You, Lord

You have been faithful, You’ve been my song

And with all my heart I’ll praise You, Lord

With all my heart I’ll trust You, Lord

Hey-ey-ey-ey-ey

With my future, oh I’ll trust You, Lord

With my family I’ll trust You, Lord

And with my children I’ll trust You, Lord

Hey-ey-ey, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh

I will trust You, Lord
