Controller for Bethel Music

Compensation DOE + benefits, full-time 40 hours a week in Redding, CA, non-remote, authorized to work in the US
The function of this role is to organize and supervise accounting-related functions for Bethel Music, including general accounting, policy development, cash management, and audit preparation.
Expected Responsibilities:
  • Execute
    • Accountable for Accounting Operations
    • Accurate and timely close books which including but not limited to, bank and credit card reconciliations, fixed asset capitalization and depreciation, elimination entries, accruals, and deferrals
    • Providing timely and accurate financial reports to CFO
    • Maintaining adequate systems
    • Ensuring compliance with GAAP
    • Oversee the compilation of required audit documentation
  • Leadership
    • Oversee day to day accounting functions and activities
    • Oversee accounting staff
    • Oversee adherence to budgets
    • Ensure a system of controls is adhered to
  • Analysis
    • Populate monthly reporting documents
    • Calculate Budget vs Actual variance and report on findings
    • Calculate and issue Financial Metrics
    • Provide further analysis as requested
  • Communication
    • Compile and provide reposts as needed
    • Send monthly statements to customers ensuring any past due payments are collected on
Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 5 years of general account experience
  • At least 2 years of management experience
  • An understanding of GAAP
  • Mastery of the Accounting Cycle
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel

Content Manager for Bethel Music Channel

Compensation DOE + benefits, full-time 40 hours a week in Redding, CA, non-remote, authorized to work in the US
As the Content Manager you will report directly to the Operations Manager of Bethel Music Channel. You will use your creative and administrative gifting to strategize new content rollout for the web platform and YouTube. You will manage the content library and orchestrate a content restructure for Bethel Music Channel. We believe that we have an opportunity to shed light on and provide resources for the global worship movement and you will be a forerunner in making this a reality.
Top 3 outcomes in year 1:
  • Assist in a successful launch of the new Bethel Music Channel including a complete content restructure
  • Create and manage a content release calendar for Bethel Music Channel each quarter that prioritizes consumer wants and needs
  • Strategize and orchestrate the production of new content for YouTube and the web platform
Your priorities:
  • Orchestrate and manage a content restructure for Bethel Music Channel
  • Create and manage the content release calendar to ensure timely publication
  • Strategize and manage content for YouTube and web platform
  • Monitor content traffic and engagement (popular videos, watch length, etc.) and provide monthly reports on key metrics
  • Gather insights on consumer wants and needs in relation to our web content
  • Work with the necessary teams to strategize design and plan out production for new content capture and distribution
  • Adhere to department and per project budget guidelines given by Operations Manager
  • Orchestrate and manage the production of new content for the channel platform in collaboration with the Operations Manager
  • Work with the YouTube Coordinator to provide strategy behind the optimization of our YouTube channel in tandem with social media channels and web products
  • Participate in brainstorming strategies for the marketing and advertising of new content with the Operations Manager and other stakeholders
  • Work with the Creative Coordinator to submit requests for the Video Editor when larger edits need executed
  • Identify gaps in our content and provide recommendations to the Operations Manager and Director
  • Review published content quarterly and update as needed
  • Develop OKR goals every quarter that are in alignment with Bethel Music Channel annual and quarterly OKRs
What you bring…:
  • BFA/BA degree is preferred but not required
  • Proven work experience as a Content Strategist, Content Manager or similar role is preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of media and social platforms, best practices, and how audiences use them to consume and share content
  • An understanding of user experience and search engine optimization (SEO) is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
